March 28th: family collage
this is an example collage i made to show my kindergartners what i wanted them to do in the art center, which is find pictures in magazines that represent your family.
my collage includes: playing games, taking pictures, going to the mountains, moving/being active, smiling, beach, love, food, coffee, and holidays. it was actually enjoyable to make.
blogging on a monday? this is a good start. however, my monday wasn't the best one, so maybe it is good i'm writing. on my way to school i realized that i forgot all my guided reading books - aka was unprepared for literacy. i rushed to the library when i got there and quickly got two books i thought could work (my teacher and i talk about the books beforehand, every week, so i was just going out on a limb). so right as literacy was starting today i realized our schedule was off because of the zoo trip and that the groups were switched. i luckily had a lower level book for my lower group and thankfully had a higher level book for the highest group in a stack of stuff i was going to return to the library this morning - thank goodness i didn't! God was looking out for me.
anyway...i know this sounds minor, but in the life of a student teacher, it was very stressful and unnerving. and i did these lessons on a whim without ever reading the book, which is a no-no in the student teaching world. i don't know if my CT realized...i hope not. i made sure to put those books i left on my bag so i will not forget them tomorrow.
anyway, my eyes are slowly closing and am finding it hard to stay awake. the thunderstorm kept me awake late last night. 3 more days until spring break. please go by fast.
