October 20th: caribou love.
went to caribou for about an hourish today with ivette - just what i needed. a perfect way to break up the week; to talk about life, to share stories from school, and just to be relaxed and content for a least a few moments in the busy day. laura is also home and so we went to jennifer's for dinner. it was a nice evening with my family.
i really struggle with the balance between work and free time. i want to be this great kindergarten teacher, but i feel like i would have to spend so much time outside of school thinking up plans, researching, and creating activities. not that that is a bad thing, but i struggle with the "getting paid enough" aspect and being burnt out from being at school all day to begin with. I think i need to set aside blocks of time to do this, or save it just for one day on the weekend. i think that will help me accomplish a lot, but not get too overwhelmed with it all. i love my kiddies, and i just want to help each one of them succeed as individuals.
